The nex best and basic feature after extrude is revolve. It goes this way! The closed 2-D sketch which you draw revolves around an axis(geometric center line in creo) upto a specified angle and creates a solid or a surface you desire.
Here you go!!
-
Select [File] —> [New] from the menu bar. The dialog shown below will pop up.- Uncheck use default template option and pres ok,select units mmns/inlbs based on your requirement.
-
Select the revolve option from[insert]--->revolve or from the side bar.
-
You can always edit a sketch by going to sketch option or clicking on define on placement as shown
-
Now select the plane and the direction in which you want to sketch and press sketch as shown!- Now comes an important thing you need to define! Yeah…you are right…you need to give a center line about which your sketch rotates.!
- Proceed with drawing a sketch(closed) on any one side of the centerline(can draw it on either side also but should be symmetric…otherwise ‘sometimes’ you get an error).!
this is my sketch with a horizontal center line!
- Press the tick button -
You are almost done…If you want to modify the design go for the options as shown below!

- After you are done press the green tick button!!!
!
- The final design I got is here!!!!
