Ever wondered how CAD professionals design a complicated automotive chassis in minutes?
Its only because of a feature called “weldments” in solidworks.
Just make a 3D sketch or import it from other tools and add a cross-section to it!!!

Create a 3D sketch using the sketch feature.

GO to weldments tab and select structural member

Select each closed sketch and press add group

Then select open sketches individually
-
Take care of the joints …should not be open.

You are done :-)
